We will be casting all roles for:

• A double bill of Debussy’s The Prodigal Son & Menotti’s Amahl & the Night Visitors (Dec 28-Jan 5, 2020)
• Viardot’s Cinderella (Feb 22-24, 2020)
• Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore (March 27, 2020)
• Mozart’s Magic Flute (June 2020, exact dates TBD)

All roles/cover artists/chorus are paid $100-$500 depending on role and production. Fees non-negotiable.

EVEN IF WE HAVE HEARD YOU IN THE PAST, please use the form below to submit the following materials:

• Current performance resume
• JPEG Headshot File (please be sure the file is labeled with your name)
• In the body of the email please include your contact information including cell phone number, mailing address, and best email address.
• If you are not available for a live audition on the date show but would like to be considered for a callback, please let us know and send the above information as well as two video recordings of arias.

Lyric Opera OC will also be hearing singers at the Southern California Opera Network auditions on August 17th. If you already have an audition scheduled but would like to be considered for a follow up time at our private auditions, please let us know in advance. We will host callbacks in early October for Magic Flute and request specific passages to be presented. 

Audition Notes:

All productions for our current season are in English, so please bring at least one English aria to your audition – no musical theatre repertoire. A pianist will be provided but you may bring your own. There will be a cold reading/monologue provided at the auditions. If you are not comfortable reading in English, please prepare a short comic monologue (90 seconds or less) in advance. We will have a rough draft of rehearsal schedules available at the auditions. We will ask for your known conflicts in advance – please be as up front and honest as possible.
